MetLife sucks. They don't cover implants and everything seems to be 50-50 at best. Why do you need dental insurance if all they cover is regular checks????.

Summary
MetLife Stinks, you have to fight for any benefits paid, they do not cover implants as stated, I had a bridge that failed and now they offer a sub-standard treament of a removal appliance instead of hybrid implants. Like I want to walk around with wires showing in my mouth in my profession. I will drop this insurance..

Summary
MetLife denies all claims beyond semi-annual cleaning/exams and basic items like fillings. They are extremely lazy and dishonest relative to appeals. Based upon my dealings with them on Dental Insurance, I would never do business with MetLife in any regard. Their business model is thuggery..

Summary
Metlife will not cover exams if a person has had one in the last six months. Even if it's an emergency! Even when the exam I had within the last six months was with ANOTHER DENTAL INSURANCE where Metlife DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! My employer switched to Metlife in 2009 and I have been having trouble with those people ever since. Now I see why so many dental offices will NOT even deal with them. And to think that I was considering getting an auto insurance policy with them. They killed that chance. There's no way in hell that I will willingly deal with those people after this! .

Summary
I would be suprised if they ever pay any claims. Every time you send one in they reject it and say they need more information. You send that information and they need more. They are focused on getting you discouraged enough so you finally just stop sending in the claima and they get to keep their money..
